About the National Money for Missions Program works of empty tomb, inc. empty tomb®, inc. is a nonprofit research and service organization based in Champaign, Illinois. empty tomb's activities focus on both local and national discipleship opportunities. On a national level, empty tomb, inc. carries out two areas of activities. One area of empty tomb's national activities is carried out under the umbrella of The National Money for Missions Program®. Through its National Money for Missions Program activities, empty tomb, inc. encourages historically Christian congregations in the U.S. to increase their missions giving, as a percentage of their total spending. In the 1990's, The National Money for Missions Program activities, empty tomb, inc. encourages historically Christian congregations in the U.S. to increase their missions giving, as a percentage of their total spending. Today, The National Money for Missions Program serves as the umbrella for the empty tomb activities that continue to encourage and challenge Christians in the areas of stewardship and missions giving. The empty tomb giving research demonstrates the great potential for the church in the U.S. to increase its efforts to love, in Jesus' name, this hurting world in word and deed (see the Potential page on the empty tomb Web site). Local activities of empty tomb, inc. focus on needs of neighbors "across the street." Christians in the Champaign County, Illinois, area are invited to participate in discipleship opportunities. These direct word and deed service opportunities are described on the About Us page of the empty tomb Web site. All these efforts are based on the promise that God is able to do more than we ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20-21). We look forward to all that God wants to do.
