Affirmation of Intention of Conduct and Statement of Faith
In the Champaign-Urbana, IL area, empty tomb, inc. provides assistance to people who are materially-poor, as resources permit. This assistance includes food, clothing, furniture, and home repair. Also, some limited financial assistance is available through the Helping Work and Medical Fund. Available assistance is offered, free in Jesus' name, to any person in need (being guided by Jesus' comments in Luke 6:32-36). empty tomb also provides service discipleship opportunities for members of historically Christian churches. On a national level, empty tomb's research analyzes church giving trends. Its Mission Match project is designed to help increase missions giving through historically Christian congregations. The leadership team of staff, officers and board members are asked to sign an Affirmation of Intention of Conduct and Statement of Faith as part of their more specialized service through empty tomb, inc.
Beginning June 1, 2008
Compassionate Administrator who loves Jesus, People, and Detail
Connect concerned Christians in discipleship opportunities that assist people in need. Assist low-income people through specific works.
Oversees:
- Food work
- Furniture work
- Helping work
- Christian Family to Family Relationships
Skills needed include:
- Working with people from all walks of life-people in need; Christian volunteers; agency representatives
- Computer-Macintosh Word and Excel
- Recordkeeping
- Experience as a Supervisor
Minimum of two-year commitment for this fulltime position.
Salary: $20,000 plus HMO for individual/family.
Hours: 8 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday
Two weeks paid vacation plus seven paid holidays

Includes some accounting responsibilities such as government form filing, preparation of monthly reports, and annual audit preparation.
Skills needed include:
- Good with numbers, computers, and filing papers
- Detail oriented
- Recordkeeping
- Working with a team of Christian co-workers

- greet donors and visitors to the Clothing Room,
- supervise and work with volunteers
- sort and place donations in the Clothing Room
- make the Clothing Room a welcoming place by attending to its neatness/cleanliness and making sure that every person coming to empty tomb is greeted warmly in Jesus' name.

assisting the Home Maintenance Coordinator
Desirable skills:
- Communications Skills: using technology to do needed construction preparation, prepare materials for presentations, be willing to do presentations about Home Maintenance
- Construction Management Skills
- Supervision of Projects; have understanding of tools and proper usage; and be willing to use construction skills to instruct and supervise volunteers
- Must be 18 years of age or older
